What have you learned about yourself during this course?(post #18)

During the world issues course I learned about many conflicts and solutions that are going on in the world right now. I also learned some things about myself that I maybe had not realized before. I learned that i'm actually a really big softy and I seem to care a lot about the feelings and well being of people I have never met before, on the other side of the world. I can get slightly offended when people do not share my same concern and I never really noticed it this much before this class. Probably because prior to this class I was never really talking about world wide topics with my friends or peers. It's good to know that I care though because this can be channeled into something beneficial.
